Roadmap to Becoming a Disaster Housing Inspector
PaRR Inspections is dedicated to preparing already qualified individuals for the
disaster recovery experience through orientation and mock inspection. Our services
leverage your experience and resources, enabling you to prepare for deployment as
an independent contractor into the field of disaster housing inspections. Once FEMA
has declared an area as a disaster in need of Federal assistance, inspectors may
be deployed to anywhere in the U.S. and its territories.
As a PaRR Housing Inspector professional you will be contacted regarding potential
and on-going disasters. Through innovative technology our streamlined application
process equips you for the field as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Becoming a Disaster Housing Inspector Contractor for PaRR Inspections
Has Never Been Easier!
- Step 1: Fill out an Online Application which creates a new account for you. If you
have already filled out an application, please do not complete another one (see
Step 4).
- Step 2: Log on to PaRR Online Training, and complete The Big Picture.
- Step 3: The following documents will need to be completed and submitted online:
- W-9
- Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA)
- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Privacy Act
- Code of Ethics
These documents are located on the Forms page under the Account Info tab after you log in.
- Step 4: Upon completion of steps 1-3 above, you will be issued your PaRR Inspector
ID. If you completed the application and still have not received your Inspector
ID, please send an email to admin@parrinspections.com including your full name and
contact info.
- Step 5: If one is scheduled in your area, attend an optional Fingerprint Session
(link to fingerprint session) to get a head start on the Background Check Process.
The Fingerprint Session is provided free of charge--saving the time and trouble
of attempting it alone—and will provide the opportunity to meet one of our excellent
Trainers who will be available to answer your questions. Please see Fingerprint
and Background Check Process for more information. If you have already completed
an e-QIP for another company, please notify our Background Check Department by email
at background@parrinspections.com.
- Step 6: Once you have obtained a PaRR Inspector ID and your e-QIP has come back
as Favorable, you will be eligible for deployment as a Disaster Housing Inspector.
Note:
After you get your inspector number, you can also register for a Mock Inspection
Class. If you get deployed, but have not yet taken a Mock Inspection Class, then
you will take a Mock Inspection Class before picking up your equipment at the disaster
site. Please see the Training Types for more information.
Make sure to read the Fingerprint and Background Check Process page.
